After working in the high-end fashion industry for years, Sharon used her savvy and intuitive marketing skills to create and cultivate Get A Grip into a nationwide resurfacing company. In 2010, New Mexico Business Weekly recognized Sharon as a Top CEO for her leadership. Since then, the company has won multiple national awards such as Qualified Remodeler 500, Entrepreneur® Franchise 500, Remodeling 550, and Top Women-Owned Businesses. When not working, Sharon and her husband Cub spend time with their family and rescue dogs. She also enjoys traveling and creating new recipes for her food blog, Eat with Gigi, as well as writing for her column Just Sayin’ for the New Mexico Apartment Association.

With over twenty years of resurfacing experience, Ryan has his dream job—training new technicians and franchisees with state-of-the-art techniques and products. Under their careful guidance, Ryan and Sharon have made Get A Grip one of the most sought-after resurfacing companies in the industry. With over thirty locations nationwide, Get A Grip continues to win both national and local recognition. A huge Dallas Cowboys fan, Ryan also loves traveling, soccer, and playing golf with his wife, Gina.

Since 2000, Austen has served as Get A Grip’s Vice President, where he spearheads the company’s safety program, operates as our head color matcher, and assists with training new technicians in our local Get A Grip business in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Austen works closely with John on research & development, implementing advice and new insights on our exclusive products and techniques. When not at Get A Grip, he spends time with his daughters and plays ice hockey. Like his brother, he’s true to his roots. Austen is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

After three decades of owning and operating a specialty paint store, John decided to retire… until his passion for coatings drove him to Get A Grip! Certified as an Advanced Coatings Consultant through the Paint and Decorating Retailers Association, John knows his stuff. He leads Get A Grip’s Research & Development division and works closely with Austen on our safety program while diligently updating our SDS, inventory, and cost-control systems. He’ll tell jokes to whoever will listen.

After graduating from the University of New Mexico in 2017, Joanna found herself stuck in the Land of Entrapment. With a passion for content creation and editing, she joined the Get A Grip family to assist each of our franchisees with marketing and advertising, while also tackling whatever projects Sharon and Ryan throw her way. Joanna works with Sharon to ensure we comply with all state franchising laws and annually updating our FDD and Operations manuals. When not at work, Joanna is usually found mucking around at the barn with her horse or putting that Creative Writing degree to good use.

In August of 2016, Christina made a drastic career switch, exchanging late nights and weekends in the foodservice industry for sales. She manages all residential and commercial estimates for Get A Grip, teaches and advises each franchisee on how to give accurate bids, maintains our good standing with realtors and property managers, and oversees the operation of each of our tradeshows. In her free time, Christina loves to play with her nephews and love her dogs.

Danielle joined our team in March of 2017. She previously worked for a nationwide insurance company as a customer service manager, which taught her how to handle account management, billing, and provide excellent customer service. These experiences made her a great addition to the Get A Grip family regarding collections and office management. She enjoys going on local adventures with her husband and two sons.

A New Mexico native, Victoria grew up exploring the mountains in Taos. She studied at the New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM for nursing but decided that wasn’t the career path for her. Instead, Victoria took her passion for math and ran with it. Her eye for numbers and details made her a great accounting fit for the Get A Grip family, and she works closely with Danielle on collections and invoicing. Her cheesy math jokes always bring a smile.

After working a variety of odd jobs, Albert joined the Get A Grip family in 2009 to pursue his passion for cabinet refinishing. He now manages the Get A Grip Corporate warehouse, where he prepares and supervises shipment of franchise orders, oversees inventory, and ensures all customer cabinets are refinished to perfection. When not at work, he enjoys going to musical events and embarrassing his son with corny magic tricks.

In 2016, Mike joined the Get A Grip family to work with his brother, Albert. As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, he spends his time filling franchise orders, maintaining a safe warehouse environment, and assisting our technicians. In his free time, Mike enjoys fishing. His most prized possession is a Big Mouth Billy Bass that sings “Take Me to the River.”
